The sea is a mysterious world and is unknown to many of us. For Fred and Dora it’s an invitation to adventure. They are very passionate about the marine world and they offer professional diving and kayak classes in this beautiful environment. Now, you also have the opportunity to explore this underwater world and co-exist with marine species like dolphins, rays, seahorses and turtles.

Every day more people practice snorkeling and spend hours observing flora and fauna below the surface.
Many people enjoy interacting with marine animals such as dolphins, some are passionate about “capturing” underwater images with their cameras and others go fishing - for necessity or just for fun.

 

Our snorkeling trips are extraordinary, combining sun, fun and adventure, along with the perfect mix of entertainment, learning and challenges. Spend a day snorkeling or kayaking to explore the tropical ecosystems of Islas Blancas in Ixtapa or the hidden beaches near Zihuatanejo.

 

With Mero Adventure, you’ll learn more about the dolphins that inhabit the area while travelling to the islands near Zihuatanejo and Ixtapaaboard our first class dive boat, "Mero." You can relax on one of the beaches or visit some of the best snorkeling sites in Ixtapa – Zihuatanejo, like La Caleta de Chon Caletota ... and others.

You can find a great diversity of marine species at the many local dive sites in the costal waters of Zihuatanejo. Visit and explore coral reefs teeming with tropical fish, huge volcanic rock formations or underwater caves - each site has its own unique and wonderful ecosystem.

 

 

Maybe you would like to explore shipwrecked boats that have turned into mysterious artificial reefs. The sea bass have colonized these artificial reefs in a surprising manner. An example of the explosion of subaquatic life is the shipwrecked boat Fandango that sank in front of la Ropa beach. It’s become a sanctuary for many species in the bay.

 

Get close to The King of Kings, a bronze statue of Jesus Christ, submerged off the point at Las Gatas Beach. This 4 meter statue rests on a sandy bottom at a depth of 8 meters and is accessible to everybody. It can be seen from the surface, snorkeling or you can dive to get a better look.

We offer dive trips with 1 or 2 tanks. There are also possibilities to go on night dives for more experienced divers. All the dive trips are led by certified and experienced guides to ensure that you can enjoy this aqua-paradise to the max.

Mero Adventure also offer kayak tours.
We offer a kayak in the the lagoon at Playa Linda at the mouth of Rio Salitreras, crossing over to Ixtapa Island to include kayak with free diving or snorkeling.

We also offer trips for fishing and bird watching.
The most popular trip, is the trip to the lagoon at Barra de Potosi.

The tours last four to five hours and include your guide, kayak, life jacket, transportation, food and drinks.

The Barra de Potosi kayak trip is a guided expedition through mangrove tunnels of the lagoon to Playa Tortuga, a 20 km unspoiled virgen beach. You will be able to observe crocodiles and a large variety of marine and migratory birds. This trip is ideal for bird watchers and nature lovers!
